What it did for the numbers

"My income went up 80% since working with Josh."

I've also had more than 6 promotions. Best money I've ever spent!

Mohammed Al Anazi

Hi, I'm Josh.

Everyone assumes the people who speak well were born that way. They weren't. I wasn't.

I spent years avoiding rooms I should have been in. Then I stopped treating it as a personality problem and started treating it as a skill with a method. Two TEDx talks later, I train other people to do the same. Based in Dubai, working with teams across the UAE.

Josh McCartney on stage

The question everyone asks

Can I actually change how I come across?

Yes.

The way you speak isn't your personality. It's a set of habits picked up from whoever was around while you learned to talk. Pace, filler, pitch, where your eyes go, what you do when you're unsure.

Habits change. You're not stuck with the speaker you are, you're just out of practice at being a different one.

Three things, done properly.

Frameworks

Structure you can lean on

Not general theory. Specific shapes for openings, stories, pitches and closes that hold together under pressure.

Reps

You speak, every session

Nobody improves by watching. You're on your feet from week one, in a room where it's safe to be bad at it first.

Feedback

Honest, and specific

Not "that was great". What worked, what didn't, and the one thing to change before the next go.

Same person.
Same twenty seconds.

00:00
So, um, yeah - basically what we do is, I guess, kind of a platform that helps companies with, you know, their internal comms and stuff.
00:09
We've been around about three years and honestly there's a lot of competitors but we think we're a bit different.
00:16
Anyway, sorry, I'm rambling - did that make sense?

41 words. No hook. No stakes. Ends on an apology.

Hook
Internal comms don't fail because nobody sent the message. They fail because nobody read it.
Stakes
In a 300-person company, that's about six working days a month, gone.
Proof
We fixed it for a developer here in Dubai. Read rates went from 31% to 88% in five weeks.
Ask
Give me twenty minutes and I'll show you your numbers.

58 words. Hook, stakes, proof, ask. Ends on a decision.

Start here

Come to an intro class.

The cheapest way to find out if this is for you. You'll speak at least once. If I'm not the right coach, you'll know by the end and you'll still leave with something you can use on Monday.

  • The three habits that make capable people sound uncertain
  • A structure for opening any talk, pitch or meeting
  • What to do with your hands, your eyes and the pause

For organisations

Training your team can use on Monday.

Built around what your people actually have to say, to the people they actually have to say it to.

Sales & pitch

Sales is a transfer of certainty. If your team doesn't have it, the room doesn't buy. Discovery, objection handling, pitch structure, live role play.

Presentation & leadership

For the people who have to stand up in front of the business and be believed. Deck delivery, leadership communication, memory and recall.

Keynotes & hosting

Conferences, galas, launches and offsites across the UAE. Keynote speaking, emcee, workshops and panel moderation.

Rooms I've stood in.

Stages, boardrooms, studios and training rooms across the UAE and beyond.

What people say after.

"I wish I had started this sooner"

I avoided public speaking for years because I was afraid I wasn't capable, or worried I'd embarrass myself. Now I wish I had started sooner. It would have accelerated my progress and boosted my confidence much earlier.

Rea A.

"WOW!"

I used to hate the way my voice sounds and I'd panic in front of people. Now I've been able to embrace it, improve it, and learn storytelling, vocal strategies and speaking structure. Future and present me is so grateful.

Marcos Lopes

"I wasn't nervous at all"

I had a talk and the organiser told me not to expect any interaction, but I got loads of response, questions and interest. I wasn't nervous at all because I used Josh's tips.

Hala L.

"I feel so much more confident"

Before I started I had no idea how to structure a talk or deliver it. Now I know exactly what to say and how to say it. You'll see a massive impact, like I have.

Rohit Thomas

"It reignited my true passion"

It's just what I needed to step outside my comfort zone and reignite my true passion. Thank you Josh.

Maria Muñoz

"Now I'm genuinely excited to speak"

At the beginning I felt nervous and shy. By the end I was not only confident but genuinely excited to speak, something I never thought possible.

Rea A.

"Much more confident on stage"

It feels so much more natural, like second nature now. Don't say what if, just do it.

Nicole Day

Grab a slot.

Twenty minutes. We work out where the gap is and whether I'm the right person to close it. No pitch deck, no pressure.

  1. Tell me what's coming up. A stage, a pitch, a team, an event.
  2. I'll tell you honestly what I'd fix first.
  3. If a program fits, I'll point you at the right one. If it doesn't, I'll say that too.

Corporate or event enquiry? Email [email protected] with your dates and I'll come back with options, or book the slot above and mention it.
